SMTOWN Live Concert in Paris to be Broadcast Worldwide by Facebook and YouTube!

Expected to meet Explosive Response from Global Fans!

Highlights of ‘VISIT KOREA YEAR 2010-2012’ SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR in PARIS will be broadcast in worldwide through Facebook and YouTube on June 10~11th (Paris time).

The concert highlights will be broadcast through YouTube SMTOWN channel (www.youtube.com/smtown) right after the concert. In addition, photos of SM artists such as TVXQ!, SuperJunior, Girls` Generation, SHINee and f(x) will be updated continuously on Facebook SMTOWN page (www.facebook.com/smtown). Pictures will be taken at the airport, concert rehearsal, concert scenes, and artist’s daily life.

SM Entertainment is going to Europe and they are holding a concert in France, Paris for the first time.

SM  revealed on the 20th, “SMTown World Tour that’s has been held in Seoul,  LA, Tokyo, Shanghai, etc, will also be held in ‘Le Zenith de Paris’,  which is located in France, Paris, on June 10th. They plan to meet the  music fans in Paris”.

Students from the prestigious Stanford University visited South Korea as part of a 27-days program called the ‘Korea Global Study Trip 2011’. Organized by SM Entertainment and held at the company’s building in Cheongdam, the agenda of the trip includes discussions regarding SM Entertainment’s unique yet successful business strategies that have become a benchmark worldwide.

Artistes from the company attended one of the talks, including members of Girls’ Generation, SHINee, f(x) and solo singers Kangta & Zhang Liyin.

SM Entertainment has revealed that it will be producing a teen drama, set to air this summer, and many are already attempting to guess who will play the lead roles.

The drama SM is planning to produce is ‘Hana-Kimi (For You in Full Blossom)’, based off a popular Japanese comic book series that was published from 1996 till 2004 and sold over 17 million copies worldwide.

The comic book series, which is well-known amongst domestic comic book fanatics, has already been dramatized in Taiwan as ‘The Tricks of Boys and Girls’ in 2006. Following this, Japan also recreated the series into a drama and titled it ‘For You in Full Blossom: Paradise of Beautiful Men’. Both dramas recorded high viewer ratings in their respective countries and SM has recently bought the rights to the drama.

As news spread of SM’s new venture, fans have already begun to take a guess at who will play the lead roles. ‘For You in Full Blossom’ will be a comical and bright teen drama that takes places in a all-boys high school and will deal with the love, friendship and dreams of beautiful men. With the plot revolving around a girl who dresses up like a boy and enters the high school, one female lead role is needed as well as several male lead roles.

Fans expect to see a mass appearance by members of TVXQ, Super Junior and SHINee. BoA, Lee Yeon Hee, Ara, Girls’ Generation and f(x) members are the candidates for the female lead role.

Regarding this, a SM representative stated on the 10th that, “Nothing has been decided upon in terms of the cast,” and “Though there is a possibility that we will bring in idols from other entertainment agencies to appear in the drama as well as SM singers, it is too early to confirm or deny anything.”

[NEWS] SM Town Live in Tokyo Special Edition concert postponed

Due to the huge success of the SM Town Live in Tokyo concert back in January,  the agency has decided to have another round of concerts for April 9th  and 10th in Japan. However, SM Entertainment has announced that the  concert will be postponed.

SM Entertainment said through their Japanese website on March 23rd, “SM  artists join concert ‘SMTOWN LIVE in TOKYO SPECIAL EDITION’ was planned  on April 9th and 10th at Tokyo Dome, however, because of the recent  earthquake, there was a lot of damage. The power, equipment, and  supplies were all damaged. Because of this, the concert will be  postponed.” In addition to the equipment, the agency agreed that it  would most likely not be a good time for a concert as it would be hard  to enjoy during the hard time.

The announcement on the site goes on to say that once an alternate date  has been chosen, it will be announced through their Japan website and  mobile site. The posts ends with wishes that areas of Japan affected by  the earthquake and tsunami recover soon.
